Temple Mountain Ski Area was one of the oldest ski areas in the state. Temple Mountain was served exclusively by a rope tow that operated from 1937 to 1958. A T-bar was operating until 2001 – the final year of operation at Temple Mountain. Temple Mountain in Peterborough<\/a> is now closed. After the 2000-2001 ski season, Temple Mountain was permanently closed and the 352-acre property put up for sale. Berkshire East Ski Area in Massachusetts purchased most of the equipment.<\/p>\n
