Located near Grafton, NH, Ruggles Mine is an open-pit mine that has been converted from a working mica mine to a tourist attraction. Explore undergroiund rooms and tunnels and treasure hunt for a variety of minerals within the mine. More than 150 different varieties of minerals have been discovered at Ruggles including; amethyst, beryl, garnet, rose quartz and smoky quartz. Ruggles is open to the public from May to October each year. Admission is charged.
