The trains at Winnipesaukee Railroad travel back and forth between Meredith and Lakeway along the shores of Paugus Bay. First built in 1849 as a part of Boston & Maine, the Winnipesaukee Railroad was used to transport tourists from the cities to the Lakes Region every summer up until the 1950’s. Winnipesaukee Railroad offers Foliage Trains and Santa Trains every year.
