Formerly known as Mystery Hill, this unusual archaeological site contains many ancient rock structures “built” by humans and scattered across approximately 30 acres within Salem city limits. America’s Stonehenge includes hiking trails, an active alpaca farm, and is a huge tourist attraction of the New Age variety. Explore a maze of man-made caverns and ceremonial meeting places. Much like the original Stonehenge in Britain, America’s Stonehenge is also an accurate astrological calendar and can be used today to determine solar and lunar events.
