Bellini’s Ristorante Italiano

Bellini’s – A new location, a fabulous new dining room, the same outstanding food and a few new additions.

After offering dinner at the original restaurant on Seavey Street in North Conway for 17 years, Bellini’s has moved its location to the White Mountain Highway, Route 16, North Conway, NH. I visited Bellini’s Ristorante Italiano at the old location a few years ago and was duly impressed. The location has changed, the food has not.

To start your dining experience, a bottomless family style salad will be brought to your table. I recommend the house dressing, a whipped Italian with a light fresh taste. Then it’s time to select from Bellini’s wonderful menu. Items include vegetarian entrees, meatless pasta dishes, fettuccine carbonara, Marcello’s Special (veal topped with eggplant), Cappicola ham, sauteed peppers and mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce (both of which top my favorites list) and a children’s menu for families. Recently added was a new selection of steaks and chops prepared in a Florentine, Tuscan-style or new Gourmet Italian Pizzas.

Watch while your authentic Italian Brick Oven Pizza is made in an Italian oven with imported Italian flour, oil, tomatoes and cheeses. Chef Vito shared a few pizza secrets with me while we were there, and one of them is the flour. Bellini’s chefs are also doing Tuscan Ribs, which looked and smelled fabulous, and if the person at the next table would not have minded I might have tried one.

Chef Vito personally escorted us through the new location which now seats 150 and will soon be expanding to 250. You now have a choice of dining al fresco on the patio or in the air conditioned comfort of the restaurant during the milder months. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant in the cooler months is enhanced by the warm glow of the pizza ovens. There is a new lounge/martini bar with fabulous imported marble. State of the art in décor, this lounge is a great place to meet for a pre-dinner cocktail.

Since reservations are not accepted for parties of less that eight, we suggest that during peak seasons and weekends you arrive early to get your name on the “list”.
