The town of Easton, New Hampshire was originally known as Eastern Landaff. The current name Easton seems to have been a corruption of the word “eastern.” One of the original settlers in Easton was Asa Kinsman, for whom Mount Kinsman, the Kinsman Range, and Kinsman Notch were named. Alpine skiing phenomenon Bode Miller grew up in Easton. The forgotten town of Wildwood – was once located here. Mt. Moosilouke is located here. NH Route 116 and Rt. 112 – the famous, scenic Kancamagus Highway goes through Easton.
