Epping, New Hampshire 03042
Epping, NH Lodging, Real Estate, Travel & Visitor Information
Until its separation in 1741, Epping was originally part of the community of Exeter and one of the original 4 settlements in New Hampshire. Epping saw a significant dip in its population immediately after the American Revolution due to the offer of free land for soldiers in nearby Monmouth, Maine. The remaining residents of Epping established a thriving farming community. Due to large natural reserves of clay in the area, Epping was home to the first brickyard in America.
