Hudson, New Hampshire 03051
Hudson, NH Lodging, Real Estate, Travel & Visitor Information
The Merrimack Valley region town of Hudson, New Hampshire was once a part of Nottingham, Massachusetts. The town of Hudson New Hampshire was separated in 1741, and named Nottingham West. Owing to confusion with the town of Nottingham in the north, voters petitioned to have the town renamed to Hudson in 1830. The name Hudson was chosen because of its position near the Merrimack River, once supposed to flow east from the Hudson River, creating the boundary line between Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
