One of the main draws to the Waterville area is the Waterville Valley Ski Area. With slopes at a variety of levels and snow making machines it is a perfect mountain for a group that includes a variety of skiing abilities. For those who would rather avoid the slopes or are just looking for something to do after skiing there is ice skating in town square. Also in town square at the Nordic Center, cross-country skiing rentals and tickets can be bought. Lessons are also available and trails are nearby.
After enjoying the outdoor activity of your choice you can visit town square and enjoy some of the boutiques that offer a variety of shopping opportunities that include clothing, gift and specialty shops. After a long day have some drinks at Mad River Tavern or Legends Pub and Sports Bar.
If you feel like having a nice meal then you will want to try Coyote Grill at the Athletic Center or the Diamond Edge in town square.
The next morning before heading home or back to the slopes you can go for coffee at the Coffee Emporium where they have specialty coffees and delicious pastries.
Waterville Valley is an ideal place for a weekend getaway.
