This White Mountain ski area is the home of the first overhead cable lift in the country. Black Mountain Ski Area in Jackson, NH features 1 triple, 1 double, 1 J-bar, and 1 platter pull. Rental ski and snowboard equipment available. On-demand sleigh rides with draft & quarter horses are available from their on-site corral. Pony rides are also available (weather permitting).
Getting There: From the North: From Portland ME: Rt 302 to Rt. 16 to 16A to 16B. From the South: From Hartford CT and NYC: I-84 to I-90 (MA Pike) to I-495 to I-95 to the Spaulding Tnpk. (NH 16). From Boston MA: I-95 to Spaulding turnpike to Rt 16 North.
